TSS Manager to Join North Carolina Governor’s Office, Welcomes Demetrius Deloatch
Earlier this month, our own Tonya Horton was selected by the North Carolina Governor’s Office to join the Office of State Human Resources. She will lead the legislative affairs part of that agency, as the Program Manager. This is a great opportunity for her and while we will miss her, we are very excited and honored that she was chosen. Tonya joined us in 2014 as a Legislative Analyst and rose in responsibility, expertise and experience to the level of Manager. She has been a great team member and remains a great friend to all of us.
Tomorrow, Demetrius Deloatch will join the Raleigh office as a Legislative and Regulatory Research Analyst. Prior to joining Troutman Sanders, Demetrius served as a Legislative Intern and staff member for the North Carolina House of Representatives and the North Carolina Senate. In those positions, he researched legislation and laws concerning numerous issues, wrote speeches for the Representatives, attended committee meetings, and drafted weekly newsletters. Demetrius received his B.A. cum laude in Political Science from Elizabeth City State University and his M.P.A from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Demetrius is active in his community, volunteering his time in a number of areas. He especially takes pride in mentoring disadvantaged young men and women from his hometown in rural eastern North Carolina, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and achieve excellence.
