Michael Casto is a Research Analyst in the Atlanta office of Troutman Sanders Strategies. In this capacity, he is responsible for evaluating regulations and legislation proposed by the Georgia General Assembly, the Executive Branch, and various state agencies. If it is determined that any action by the state government will negatively impact client operations, Michael assists all key stakeholders with the development and presentation of possible policy alternatives to the appropriate regulators.
Prior to engaging in the full-time practice of government relations, he served as a Legislative Session Assistant with Troutman Sanders Strategies. Additionally, he has worked for various political campaigns and members of the United States Senate. Michael received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of South Carolina, where he also majored in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
