Lawrence Bell is a Manager of State Affairs in the Atlanta office of Troutman Sanders Strategies. He works with clients on a variety of state legislative items ranging from transportation to energy. In addition to his work at the state level, Lawrence focuses on helping clients navigate municipal governments.
Lawrence has nearly ten years of work experience with Fulton County and the City of Atlanta where he helped create the Downtown Develop Technical Advisory Group, a group of business, civic, and local agency leaders, responsible for developing plans to encourage economic growth in downtown Atlanta.
In addition to his work in the public sector, Lawrence managed government business development activity in four states for an Engineering Firm. His knowledge of the procurement process has helped clients win multi-million dollar awards with a variety of government agencies.
Lawrence has a B.A. in Communications from Clark Atlanta University and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University’s, Robinson College. He has volunteered with numerous organizations like Big Brother Big Sister, Yes Atlanta, Urban League of Greater Atlanta-Young Professionals, among others. He has served on the Advisory Board for the Young Adult Guidance Center and currently as Direct of Government Affairs on the Board for the Atlanta Chapter of National Black MBA. Lawrence was also recognized in Southern Journal Magazine as one of their 14 under 40.
