Chris Baxter joined the Washington, D.C. office of Troutman Sanders Strategies as a Research Analyst in 2013. In his current role, Chris assists clients focused on a wide array of policy issues by monitoring and evaluating legislation, regulations, and grants put forth by the U.S. Congress and Federal agencies.
Prior to joining Troutman Sanders Strategies, Chris gained experience in government relations on and off Capitol Hill. Chris served as a Legal Research Assistant in the government affairs group at Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP, focusing on agricultural and trade issues. Chris also spent time in the Washington, D.C. office of Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ), working as a Research Assistant covering banking & housing issues.
A native of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, Chris received his B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, where he also minored in Philosophy.
