Woods Chosen by Virginia Governor-Elect as Senior Staff Member for the Transportation Work Group.

Richmond, VA (Friday, December 11, 2009) – Troutman Sanders Strategies (TSS) announced today that Richmond-based Senior Manager Mike Woods, was asked to serve on Governor-elect Bob McDonnell's Transition Team as a senior staff member to the transportation work group.

Woods currently serves as a senior manager for state government affairs with Troutman Sanders Strategies in the Richmond office.  The 17 member Transportation Work Group will also include former Virginia Department of Transportation Commissioner, Phil Shucet, Senator John Watkins, and Delegate Glen Oder, among others.  In addition, the Co-chair is former Congressman Tom Davis

Woods said, “I will lend my expertise to the Public Private Partnerships (PPP), Rail, Roads and the Department of Motor Vehicles subcommittees.  I look forward to the magnitude of this opportunity and am thankful for the selection.”
