Teitelbaum is a director with Troutman Sanders Strategies and of counsel with Troutman Sanders LLP. He began his career as an associate in the litigation defense section of a New York law firm. After leaving the practice of law, Teitelbaum worked at Giuliani for New York, the 1993 mayoral campaign of Rudolph W. Giuliani, doing research, drafting position papers, field organization and fundraising. After the campaign Teitelbaum was named Deputy Chief of Staff to the Mayor, a position he held for over two years. He was then named Chief of Staff, a job he held until leaving the administration to become Executive Director of Solutions America PAC, Mayor Giuliani's nationwide Political Action Committee. Teitelbaum was later named Campaign Manager for Friends of Giuliani, and ran the day to day operations of Mayor Giuliani's U.S. Senate campaign against Hillary Clinton. Teitelbaum later became a partner at the former Mayor's consulting firm and Senior Executive Vice-President of the Israel Discount Bank's Holding Company in New York, which manages the brokerage arm of the Bank.
